Festival Style: Glastonbury 2008
Monday, June 30, 2008 at 5:37 PMAmazing line-up with less than stellar weather.
Even though wellingtons were a must at this weekend's Glastonbury music festival in the UK, the English hipsters managed to pull off a few inspirational outfits. Music fans included Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof, Daisy Lowe and Allison Mosshart of The Kills.

When I Grow Up..
Monday, June 23, 2008 at 3:16 PMRecently came across an article in Men's Vogue from 2006 by Tim Adams. Loved this part:
In preparation for my tour with the Kooks, on a drive out to the coast with my two daughters, Daisy, seven, and Georgia, three, I played their precocious, compulsive CD. This proved slightly more problematic than anticipated.
"Why does he want to get under her dress, Daddy?" Daisy asked, early on.
"I'm not sure he said that."
"He did. He said: 'I will do my best just to get under her dress.' "
"Well, um, I guess it's kind of a dress-up costume thing . . ."
"But he's a boy, isn't he?"
"Yes, well, some boys like to, um . . ." I scanned the rest of the tracks for potential tricky questions. "Jackie Big Tits" did not look particularly family-friendly, so I skipped that and fast-forwarded through "Eddie's Gun" when it became apparent that it was a track about erectile dysfunction. In the end we stuck mainly to the safe territory of "Seaside," the album's infectious opener.
"Why does he want to fall in love at the seaside, Daddy?"
"Oh," I found myself saying, "that's what young men do."

Return of the Supers?
Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 5:14 PM"There was a supermodel overdose in the nineties and people wanted to see actresses. However, the fact that actresses don't really have a real relationship with fashion is driving the supermodel return.” - Didier Fernandez an agent at DNA Models.
Fernandez claims L’Oreal has seen a 20 percent increase in sales after featuring Evangelista in their ads.
Summer Days
at 4:38 PMOf late Daria Werbowy has been popping up everywhere. With her self-designed Lancome Cosmetics range launching soon and acting as face of H&M's summer campaign I suppose it makes some sense that she was featured in a interview in the new UK Glamour. According to some the aim of this article is to normalise Daria and make her a more appropriate character for a cosmetics line.
But can a gender daring model be as commercial as a reassuring mainstream beauty?
